Improvements to Hammonds Pond well underway, says Carlisle City Council
UPGRADE work to one of the city’s beloved open spaces is being carried out by the council.
The next phase of improvement works at Hammonds Pond is underway and will see the installation of a new outdoor fitness area in the public area.
Contractors from Carlisle City Council will be on site for several weeks carrying out the work, but the authority said disruption would be kept to a minimum.
Old equipment has now been removed from the area and installation of a new fitness area will begin this week.
