The Duke and Duchess of Sussex make a ‘surprise appearance’ at a pond
THE DUKE and Duchess of Sussex made an impromptu ‘appearance’ at a village pond.
Masks of the royal couple have been spotted on an island in the center of a pond in Rottingdean.
The couple appeared overnight and it’s unclear how they got there or who was responsible for the ‘royal visit’.
A cutout of Prince Andrew was also spotted neck-deep in water after not visiting the island.
Their appearance comes less than a week before Sussex celebrates the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, with Rottingdean preparing a series of events to mark the occasion.

The nearby Saltdean Lido is preparing three days of community events and activities, with live music, a day of family fun and a royal-themed parade and costume contest.
However, residents will not be able to enjoy lighting from a coastal beacon on Beacon Hill, after plans were scrapped over concerns about the safety of larks in the area.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expected to join the Queen and the rest of the Royal Family at a service at St Paul’s Cathedral next Friday, but will not appear alongside her on the balcony at Buckingham Palace after the event Trooping the Colour.
