Travelers to Southeast Asia prefer to stay in villas with pools: survey
SEOUL, July 29 (Korea Bizwire) — South Korean travelers to Southeast Asia prefer to stay in pool villas and those traveling to European countries prefer to stay in guesthouses, a survey showed Thursday.
Ticket booking platform operator Yeogi Eottae conducted a survey of 469 app users, 30.2% of whom preferred to stay in pool villas when traveling in Southeast Asia.
The results reflect the fact that travelers to Southeast Asia, many of whom travel as couples or families, can enjoy the pool as well as the high-quality services at pool villas.
For travelers to Europe, the most popular choice was to stay in guesthouses (32.4%), likely due to expensive accommodation as well as traveling to multiple countries.
When asked when they plan to travel abroad this year, 34.2% of respondents said December, followed by November (20.7%) and October (14.7%).
Most travelers sought to travel abroad at the end of the year, mainly due to concerns about the resurgence of the pandemic (63.3%) and the increase in the cost of summer travel ( 42.2%).
